Piero Heliczer, Beat poet, artist and illustrator, standing at his printing press in the Maison pour tous, rue Mouffetard, Latin Quarter, Paris 5e, France, early 1960s. He was given a room in exchange for doing the Maison pour tous posters and stationery. He sold his work by walking around the cafes of the Left Bank at night. He was fluent in several languages including Japanese and could play the viola da gamba.
