Amuletic charm, written in the 18th century, found in a barn at West Bradford, Lancashire, in 1825. Top left is a magical square for the Sun and also sigils for the daemons of the Sun and for the archangel of the Sun, Michael. The words are to keep evil spirits and hauntings away from a certain person, place, and from cattle.
