Sedlec; Czech Republic; Sedlec Ossuary (Kostnice). This photo shows a crown made of human bone; that is a detail from the Schwarzenberg family coat of arms . The ossuary is commonly listed in Kutna Hora; although it is in nearby Sedlec. Part of an old monastic property; it is a two story structure; including a funerary chapel. The current appearance of dates to the 1860s-70s; and was funded by the noble Schwarzenberg family; which bought the property and commissioned the work here from the sculptor Frantisek Rint.
