Geometrical study by Durer. Illustration of geometry diagrams with a seated human figure (lower right) as sketched by German painter and artist Albrecht Durer (1471-1528). Durer was famous as an artist, but also produced a number of theoretical works. His work on geometry, architecture and engineering is known in English as 'Four Books on Measurement' and was published in 1525. This sketch is part of the British Library's collections of drawings and notes by Durer.
