Pectoral ornament in the form of a double-headed serpent. One of the symbols of Tlaloc; it was worn by a high priest. Probably formed part of the treasure sent to Cortes by Montezuma who believed Cortes to be the returning god Quetzalcoatl. Country of Origin: Mexico. Culture: Aztec / Mixtec.
