Meningiomas are tumours arising from the meninges - the membrane layers surrounding the brain and spinal cord of the central nervous system (CNS). Here, it is also affecting the brain of the skull. Meningiomas are usually benign (non-cancerous) but a small percentage are cancerous. Here, the tumour is being fed by branches from the middle meningeal artery and right temporal artery.
