The mineral Perovskite is a calcium titanium oxide (CaTiO3). It has a characteristic crystal structure known as the perovskite structure. It occurs in deep-seated mantle rocks, known as ultramafic and foidolitic. Also found in contact carbonate skarns and volcanically altered limestones.
