VIETNAM WAR: BEACH, 1965. /nU.S. Marines advancing inland through a network of obstacles, set up by local villagers under the direction of Viet Cong guerrillas, after landing on a beach on the coast of South Vietnam, about 40 miles south of Da Nang, 18 November 1965. Obstacles include bamboo spikes, and tall wooden poles connected by wires to land mines.
