Gabapentin. Molecular model of the drug gabapentin (C9.H17.N.O2), originally developed as a GABA (gamma-Aminobutyric acid) analogue for the treatment of epilepsy. It is now used to relieve neuropathic pain. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red).
