Manual tin opener. This device uses some very simple mechanical principles. A lever is used to drive a cutting lade into the lid of a steel can. The crimped rim of the can is gripped by a toothed wheel, which is turned by the key, and pushed against the cutting edge. The first opener of this type was patented in 1931 by the Bunker Clancey Company of Kansas City, USA, and are known as Bunkers'.
