Hurricane Sandy (22 October to 2 November 2012) was the largest hurricane in Atlantic history, with winds stretching over 1800 kilometres. It was also the most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic season, causing the deaths of over 100 people and billions of dollars worth of damage to the US and Caribbean. This simulation was featured at the SC13 supercomputing conference in November 2013.
