Brown pelicans (Pelicanus occidentalis) stealing food at the water's surface. One of the pelicans is grasping a blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) in its beak. The booby is holding a fish in its beak. Attempting to steal food from another animal is known as kleptoparasitism. Photographed in the Gulf of California.
