The minimum dress code to be worn for a person to be classed as being dressed as the famous detective is a Deerstalker, Cape, Pipe and Magnifying Glass. The event also aimed to raise money which will go directly to the restoration of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's study, and the stained glass windows at Undershaw.
