A spotted deer in the forests of Nijhum Dwip (Nijhum Island), a cluster of islands emerged in the early 1950s in the shallow estuary of the Bay of Bengal on the south of Noakhali district, in Bangladesh. The Forest Department of Bangladesh created a mangrove forest on the island and in 2001 declared it as a National Park. The main attraction of the park is a herd of about 25,000 spotted dear or Chitra Horin. Nijhum Dwip, Noakhali, Bangladesh. December 9, 2009.
