Bluetooth hands-free earpiece (Jabra GN6210). This is an example of a hands-free device, as used in the mobile phone and telecommunication industries to enable communication while keeping your hands available. It combines an earphone and a microphone, and is attached to the ear. It converts an electrical signal from the mobile phone into audible sound waves, doing the reverse for the user's voice. Bluetooth is the technology used to connect and exchange information between the headset and a mobile phone. Jabra launched the first such device in 2000. Photographed in 2006.
