Sunset over Awasa Lake, Ethiopia. This lake, one of the Rift Valley lakes, is an endorheic basin (one with no river outlet). However, unlike the other lakes in the area which are alkaline, this one a freshwater lake, indicating that it probably has a subterranean outlet.
