Le Petit Dru (3733 metres), from Montenvers, showing scar of recent rockfalls on the west face, the largest of these being in June 2005 and September 2011. The scar stretches from 3000 metres at the bottom to 3500 metres at the top, which is the current zone of melting of the high altitude permafrost.
