Cyclotrons. At the Ganil, the stage of the ion acceleration until the energy and particle number chosen by the physicist who planned the experiment, is done using two successive cyclotrons: CSS1 et CSS2. In these cyclotrons, ions get accelerated and maintained on circular trajectories.
