Giacomo Cavalli, Italian geneticist. Cavalli studied at the University of Parma, Italy, and then obtained his doctorate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (1994), followed by post-doctoral work at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Since 1999, he has worked in Montpellier, France, at the Institute of Human Genetics (IGH), becoming director of the Institute in 2011. His research involves chromatin-mediated processes.
