Edith Heard (born 1965), British geneticist. Heard worked at the Pasteur Institute on X-chromosome inactivation. Since 2001, she has led the Mammalian Developmental Epigenetics team at the Institut Curie. Since 2010, she has been director of the Unit of Genetics and Developmental Biology. Awarded the 2011 Grand Prix of the French medical research foundation (FRM), in 2012 she was appointed Professor at the College de France.
