Crocodilian fossil research. French palaeontologist Jean Paul Billon-Bruyat (born 1975) with the Metriorhynchus crocodilian fossils discovered at the A16 palaeontological site in the region of Porrentruy, Switzerland. Metriorhynchus was a marine crocodile-like reptile that lived between 167 and 155 million years ago during the Jurassic. These fossils, discovered in 2008, date from around 150 million years ago.
