Ancient Peruvian fabric. Sections of fabric dating from the Chimu Imperial Epoch (1300AD-1532AD). This textile is composed of six elements of equal size, each of which frames an anthropomorphic figure wearing a half-moon shaped headdress. The Chimu were the residents of Chimor, with its capital at the city of Chan Chan, a large adobe city in the Moche Valley of present-day Trujillo city, Peru.
