Charles Leigh (1662-1701?), English physician and naturalist. Leigh was educated at the University of Oxford's Brasenose College, graduating in 1683. He qualified as a medical doctor (1689) at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College). He practised medicine in London and Manchester, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1685. His works included papers on mineral waters, thermal spas, and antiquities. His name in Latin is shown at bottom, along with his medical qualification. His death date is not known with certainty.
