Soyuz spacecraft at the Moon. Artwork of a Soyuz TMA-M spacecraft (right) connected to an extended stay module (centre, labelled 'Future' in Cyrillic), both with a crew capacity of three. At left is a Russian space tug ('Parom' or 'Ferry') and the upper-stage booster rocket that boosted the spacecraft out of Earth orbit on a trajectory to the Moon (lower left). The Russian Soyuz TMA-M (crew of three) is a modified version of the Soyuz TMA spacecraft. It has been in use since 2010. Plans involving a range of spacecraft have been made for missions to the Moon and Mars, but they are not expected to take place until after 2020.
