Gaping Gill Cave, historical artwork. Visitor (lower centre) viewing a large waterfall in the Gaping Gill Cave in North Yorkshire, UK (also called Gaping Ghyll). This limestone cave is where the Fell Beck stream falls 98 metres in the UK's tallest unbroken waterfall. The water disappears into the cave floor, eventually resurfacing by another cave nearby. Artwork from the third edition of 'Les Entrailles de la Terre' (1902) by French author Eugene Caustier.
