Starfield. Optical image of a starfield in the constellation Ursa Major, the great bear. North is at top. Just above centre the galaxy M81 is seen as a fuzzy blob, with the smaller galaxy M82 above it. Ursa Major is circumpolar (never setting) for most northern hemisphere observers, as it is close to the north celestial pole.
