The reflected trail has been distorted due to ripples in the water. The Sun does not sink vertically, but at an angle. The observed angle becomes shallower the further an observer is from the Earth's equator. This is a composite image formed from a long exposure photograph of the Sun and an ordinary photograph of the background taken before sunset. Photographed in Finland.
