Waning, 27-day-old moon. The dark feature at centre, near the terminator, is the floor of the crater Grimaldi. The two craters directly above it are Hevelius & Cavalerius, the latter appearing as a black spot. Taken relatively early at night, the photo shows the typical deep orange of the moon at this phase.
