Skyscrapers, Hong Kong, China. The Bank of China (right) was designed by the Chinese-born architect Ieoh Ming Pei and built between 1982 and 1990. It is 305 metres high and has a steel frame surrounded by a glass curtain wall. The Cheung Kong Center (left) was designed by several architects and was completed in 1999. It is 283 metres high and the richest man in Hong Kong, Li Ka-Shing, lives on the top floor, the only residential part of the building. Photographed in January 2003.
