Sports stadiums. Satellite image of two sports stadiums (centre, upper left) in Denver, Colorado, USA. North is at top. This image was obtained on 19 August 2001. Mile High Stadium (upper left, orange seating, built 1948) was demolished later that year. The other stadium (Invesco Field) was built to replace it, and is home to the Denver Broncos American football team. The first game was played there a few days after the image was taken. The stadium is located in downtown Denver, on the banks of the South Platte River (at right), at the intersection (bottom right) between Interstate-25 (at right) and Colfax Avenue (across bottom).
