Firefighter. A firefighter walks along a firebreak as a forest fire approaches. The firefighter is one of an elite crew of US firefighters known as 'hotshots'. He is carrying a pulaski axe in his right hand and shielding his face with his other hand. The pulaski axe and other hand-held digging tools are used to construct firebreaks of cleared land around the perimeter of the fire which halt its spread.
