This can be adjusted so that the aircraft lift can be assessed when the wind tunnel is being used. A wind tunnel is used to simulate conditions experienced during flight. The experiment is monitored and the results used to improve the design. The Fokker F-100 is a small twin-engine jet airliner, designed in the 1980s. It carries 85-120 passengers, and is around 35 metres long, with a wing span of around 28 metres.
