The millennium bug theory is that computers may not understand the change of digits from "99" in 1999 to "00" in 2000. Computers may "think" it is 1900, or even crash, and lose all data. Alternatively this may represent an internet search engine such as the Web Crawler searching out data on the world wide web (WWW). The WWW is part of the internet, a global network of computers able to send and receive information between each other."
