Nanotechnology simulators. Computer artwork of identical nanomachines linking together to form a structure. Trillions of these nanomachines (called foglets) could fill a room and simulate different objects upon demand. Because they are so small (the central sphere is 10 microns across, the size of a cell) they are not visible unless they gather in large numbers to form a Utility Fog. They each have a small amount of computing power and arms to link to each other and other objects. The combined computing power and audio-visual capability allow the foglets to simulate different environments, such as a house, a forest, or a swimming pool.
