Humanoid robot. Android robot known as WABAIN (Waseda bipedal humanoid). This robot has a completely humanoid figure with two legs, two arms, two hands and a two eyes in a mechanical head. It is capable of walking, although in a shaky, side to side fashion. It is also capable of dancing with its human operator and recognising seven human gestures such as Come here" and "Go away". WABAIN was created because many researchers believe that robots must have a human appearance if they are to interact successfully with humans.
