This is during the joint shuttle/Mir missions STS-84 and Mir-23 (15th-24th May 1997), during which Foale replaced Linenger as Mir's guest researcher. Foale is seen in a light blue cosmonaut's uniform here ready for his time on Mir. This was the sixth time the shuttle docked with Mir. Foale stayed on board Mir until he was picked up by shuttle mission STS-86 (24th September-6th October 1997) and replaced on Mir by David Wolf.
