The eight day mission (8th-16th November l984) saw the retrieval of two stranded communications satellites (Palapa B-2 & Westar VI), which were returned to earth for repair. The For Sale" sign held by Gardner is a humorous reference to their status. A portion of each of the two retrieved satellites is visible at lower right.
