Male reproductive system. Computer artwork of the male urogenital anatomy. The bladder (upper left) stores urine, which passes down the urethra and out through the penis (centre right). The same route is taken by the reproductive fluids. Sperm from the testes (lower centre) are stored in the epididymis (on top of each testis). During sexual arousal, the sperm, carried in a seminal fluid, passes along the vas deferens tubes, over the pubic bone (not seen) and the bladder, and down to the prostate gland (beneath the bladder). The prostate gland adds more fluids, and the mixture passes into the urethra and is ejaculated through the penis. The suspensory ligament (orange) is seen at the base of the penis.
