Brain anatomy. Computer artwork of a human brain seen from the top. The front of the brain is at bottom. The cerebral cortex is divided into lobes. These are the frontal lobes (yellow and green), which are involved in language, judgement, memory and motor functioning, the parietal lobes (orange and blue), which integrate sensory information and are involved with visuospatial processing. The temporal lobes (pink and red) are involved in hearing, auditory processing, speech and language functions. The occipital lobes (turquoise and purple) are the visual processing centres of the brain. The cortex is responsible for intelligent thought, language, memory and conscious movement. Also seen are the cerebellum (brown) and the spinal cord (red).
