Physiotherapy is the use of exercise to restore joint stiffness or muscle strength after an illness or injury. This assessment system devises an individualised phys- iotherapy programme for limb joints by monitoring a variety of performance indications. The computer may detect potential problems that could lead to further injury. The computer also provides a visual display of the progress made by the patient which can be used for encouragment.
