Cough pills. Capsules of Dastosin, a non-narcotic anti-tussive (anti-coughing) drug. The active part is the chemical dimemorfan. This acts directly on the part of the brain in the medulla that causes the coughing action. This drug is considered to be safer than narcotic anti-tussive drugs that can have serious side-effects. Dimemorfan was first used in Japan in 1975. These capsules are made by Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals.
