Painkilling capsules. These capsules consist of a liquid that contains the painkilling (analgesic) drug ibuprofen. The liquid is absorbed quickly for fast pain relief. Each capsule contains 200mg of ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is used in a variety of brand name drugs. These ones are Anadin (green) and Nurofen (red) capsules, both used to relieve pain from muscle strains, headaches, period pains and toothache. Both of these drugs are available over- the-counter (OTC). The Anadin range of drugs are marketed by the Wyeth Consumer Healthcare company, the Nurofen range of drugs by The Boots Company.
