The headache was brought about by dehydration and overheating. Treatments for too much sun include painkillers, rest in a cool, shady place and drinking a weak salt solution. In extreme cases overexposure to the sun can lead to a total breakdown of the body's heat regulating mechanisms. This is known as sunstroke. In sunstroke the body becomes dangerously overheated and without treatment, coma and death follow.
