Intestinal enteritis. Gross specimen of the middle part (jejunum) of the small intestine in a case of enteritis (intestinal inflammation). The cause of such inflammation can be unknown (like in Crohn's disease), or due to a bacterial infection, or some other cause. Drugs can treat the inflammation, but a true cure will require knowledge of the cause of the inflammation.
