Breast tumour. Coloured X-ray of a large lipoma in a breast. The lipoma is the dark purple mass seen filling much of the breast. A lipoma is a benign tumour of fatty tissue. It grows slowly and can occur in nearly all bodily organs. If it becomes larger than 5 centimetres it is usually excised surgically.
