Geology museum. Volcanologist Giuseppe Rolandi in the Royal Mineralogical Museum of the Federico II University, Naples, Italy. The museum was founded in 1801, It has a large collection of minerals and rock types, including many from Vesuvius and other volcanoes in the surrounding area. The collection contains more than 20,000 samples, divided into 9 exhibit areas ranging from meteorites to volcanic rocks and minerals.
