Eden Project. Visitors inside the warm temperate biome at the Eden Project in Cornwall, England. The Eden Project is a horticultural garden centred on two large greenhouses (biomes). The smaller of the two, the warm temperate biome, contains representative plants from the temperate regions of the world, including the Mediterranean zone, parts of California, South Africa, south-west Australia and Chile. The biomes are geodesic domes with windows of ethyltetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) plastic. The Eden Project shows the diversity of plant life across the world, and how humans interact with it. It was completed in Spring 2001.
