Dr Dave Griggs, British meteorologist. Griggs is the Director of Climate Research at the Meteorological Office's Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research. He studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. After gaining his PhD he undertook two years of atmospheric physics research at the University of Toronto, Canada. Griggs joined the Met Office in 1986 and was appointed Director of Climate Research in April 2001. He is responsible for directing and managing the Met Office's climate research and atmospheric dispersion activities.
