Dr Amanda Ellison. Amanda Ellison (Ph.D) started working in the field of neuroscience in 1995. As a Dr. Hadwen Trust Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, she was involved in the development of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a cognitive experimental technique in visual and motor modalities. She was then awarded a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship at the University of Durham where she managed her own laboratory at the Wolfson Research Institute. She has remained within the University's Cognitive Neuroscience Research Unit where in 2006 she is a lecturer in the Department of Psychology. She continues to use TMS in her work on visual, motor and visuomotor attention.
