Lava lamp computer artwork. These lamps contain immiscible liquids with different densities. When a light bulb at the base is switched on, the denser liquid (yellow) heats up. As it heats, it expands becoming less dense and rises. At the top the lamp is cooler, which cools the rising liquid thus making it more dense and it sinks. These convection currents produces peculiar patterns.
